Tour de East Java

Leading de East Indonesia 2009

Tour de East Java is the annual event which has been successfully held in East Java Province since 2005. It is an International Cycling Competition in East Java; perfectly blend between sports and tourisms. This event is organized by Harry Enterprise and sanctioned by UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale), ACC (Asian Cycling Confederation) and ICF (Indonesian Cycling Federation). To improve riders’ abilities and talents, especially Indonesian riders, so that they will be able to compete with other professional riders around the world and to introduce the natural beauty of East Java are the foremost goals in holding this event.

This annual event will be held on 8 – 10 August 2009 and consists of three stage races. Stage 1 and 2 are road races with 204 Km and 113.7 Km while Stage 3 is a criterium, 15 laps with 5.4 Km for each. The number of teams differs annually. There will be 16 foreign teams and 4 local teams of five riders and three officials.

The organizer will invite both national and international journalists and photographers to follow the convoy and record the various lively activities in East Java. Various attractive performances are offered in the opening ceremony every year where the venues are professionally prepared. It is no doubt that this event is considered as an annual festival which is traditionally, professionally and well arranged. The warm hospitality, valuable unique culture, beautiful sceneries, the quality of small industries become a power of attractions which is professionally organized so that it could attract millions both domestic and foreign tourists.
